HOULTON – Robert Hayes Thompson, 86, left this earth peacefully to be with the Lord June 6, 2011. He was born March 6, 1925, in Houlton, son of Rue and Lena (Carpenter) Thompson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his son, Gary Thompson and his wife, Susan, of Ludlow; daughter, Susan Gravel and her husband, Leonard, of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Heidi Warman, Troy Gravel, Holly Foster, Jeremy Gravel and Travis Thompson; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Kaitlyn, Rylee, Drew, Tyler and Emily; and a sister, Dorice Kerekes of Florida. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Parks Thompson.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev.
