HANCOCK – Sandra Arleen “Sam” “Sandy” MacGregor, 46, died unexpectedly June 3, 2011, at her home. She was born Nov. 27, 1964, in Bangor, daughter of Gardner M. and Jessie A. (White) MacGregor.
Sandy was a lover of many things. She loved summer and the ocean, and took great pride in being able to work on her landscaping. She was also very proud to have been a certified nurse’s aide and loved working with the disabled. She was a great person and would try to help anyone she could. She will be missed by all.
She is survived by her mother, Jessie MacGregor of Hancock; two sons, Shawn F. MacGregor and wife, Tiffany, of Cornville and Scott “Tyler” Doane of Hancock; sister, Bonnie MacGregor of Ellsworth, and her children, Joshua Wallace, Nina Wallace, Dezarae Kelley and Roxanna MacGregor; and sister, Heidi MacGregor of Bar Harbor, and her children, Alex Whitmore and Daniel MacGregor. She was predeceased by her father.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at Sullivan Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Chamberlain officiating. All are invited to a lunch after the service at the church.
