WINTERPORT – Jean Elizabeth Perkins, 91, passed away June 9, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 18, 1920, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Juan and Sarah (Cahill) Curtis.
Jean joined the Methodist church in Presque Isle in 1934 and transferred to the Winterport church at Ellingwood Corner when she married Harland Perkins, Nov. 19, 1939. She was also an inactive member of Aroostook Rebekah Lodge No. 32.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harland Preston Perkins, Dec. 23, 2003. Surviving are two sons, G. Preston Perkins of Winterport and Stuart M. Perkins and his wife, Laura; and a much-loved grandson, Mark Joshua Perkins, all of Norridgewock.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 13, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Winterport. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor.
