SANGERVILLE – Ardell M. “Red” Lovell, 84, died June 13, 2011, at Mayo Regional Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born Dec. 5, 1926, in Sangerville, daughter of Maurice and Eva (Dulac) St. Louis.

She graduated from Sangerville High School, Class of 1945. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary and was very active in their Girls State Program. She worked for many years as a custodian for SAD No. 4, and enjoyed being around the children. An avid fisherman, it was said that she could catch a fish out of a pail.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Williams and her husband, Richard, of Guilford, and Mary Kalel of Shrewsbury, Mass.; three grandchildren, Kathryn and Robert Alex, Willie and Bobbie Williams, and Ashley Kalel and her companion, Stephen Cullen; three great-grandchildren, Samatha, Ross and Haylee; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Atwood E. Lovell; a brother, Francis St. Louis; and a sister, Wanita Hall.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at the funeral home.
