NEWNAN, Ga. – Loretta Cross Rivenbark, 67, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011. She was born in Maine, daughter of the late Leon and Theda Bean Cross.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Joel S. Garland. She is survived by her husband, J. Claude “JR” Rivenbark; children, Jay D. Garland of Griffin, Ga., Angela M. Jordan of Newnan and Amy M. LeVasseur of Atlanta; seven grandchildren; brother, Richard L. Cross of Boston; and sister, Ladonna M. Cross of Bangor.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, Ga. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Dr. John Riley officiating. Interment immediately after the funeral service at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family respectfully requests that flowers not be sent.
