GLENBURN – Eva (Brawn) Danforth, 74, died June 20, 2011, in the peaceful presence of her family, at her home, after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 2, 1937, in Glenburn, the second born child of Alvin and Margaret (Adams) Brawn.

Eva was devoted to her family and friends, and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Reginald L. Danforth Sr.; three children, Regina “Jean” and her husband, Keith Jewell, of Glenburn, Reginald Danforth Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Glenburn, and Denise and her husband, Robert Stanley, of Glenburn; seven grandchildren, Cory Fahey and his fiance, Kathy Thurston, of Old Town, Rene‚ Hunt of Glenburn, Buster Danforth of Bangor, Carrie and her husband, Troy Pearl, of Charleston, Casey Danforth and her partner, Michael Robinson, of Glenburn, Erin and her husband, Dan Howard, of Glenburn, and Dreama Richards of Glenburn; and seven beloved great-grandchildren, Troy Pearl Jr., Brooklyn Byrom, Pamela Colby, Justice Pearl, Jay Byrom, Scott “Sonny” Hunt Jr. and LaRae Richards. She will be sorely missed by her brother, Marvin Brawn and his wife, Judy, of Glenburn; her sister, Gail Applebee and her husband, Jerry, of Hermon; and sister, Marlene Archer and her husband, Keith, of Glenburn. She was predeceased by her older brother, Freeman Brawn and his wife, Shirley, of Glenburn. She was loved and appreciated by many nieces and nephews; extended family, and foster brothers and sisters and their families.

Her celebration of life will be held in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare of Maine, care of Healthcare Charities, P.O. Box 931, Bangor, ME 04401-0931.
