NEWPORT – Francis T. Lawn, 72, died unexpectedly June 19, 2011, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 30, 1938, in Boston, a son of Francis and Frances (Ceurvels) Lawn Sr.
He served in the U. S. Navy and later served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by a son, Stephen Lawn of Florida; two brothers, Edward Lawn of Boston and Stephen Lawn of Rockland, Mass.; a sister, Ann Waluk of Thorndike; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport, with Father Kent Ouellette officiating. Burial will be at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta. Those who wish may leave written tributes at
