LUBEC – Jacob Michael Robbins, 19, died unexpectedly June 19, 2011, at his home. He was born June 8, 1992, in Houlton, the son of Howard Robbins and Angie Reed.

He was a hard worker and loved lobster fishing aboard the F/V “Hannah Mae” with his father, Howard. He always enjoyed a laugh and had a smile for everyone. He was loved by all, and his friends always had a nice story to tell about him. He also liked hunting and fishing, listening to music, and playing hockey on the pond.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Hannah M. Robbins; and an aunt, Charity Reed. He is survived by and will be sadly missed by his mother, Angie Reed of Lubec; father, Howard Robbins and wife, Lorraine, of Lubec; paternal grandfather, James M. Robbins Sr.; maternal grandmother, Donna L. Reed; maternal grandfather, Roger Reed; brother, Isaac Robbins and stepbrother, Stephen Hall; sisters, Gabrielle Jewell, Kiana Jewell and Hannah Robbins; special aunts and uncles, James Robbins Jr., Lettie Glidden, Lillian Allen, Christopher Reed and Michael Wentworth; a very special friend, Jocelyn Dinsmore; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Jacob’s life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Three Angels Seventh Day Adventist Church, Route 1, Whiting. Interment will be at Bayview Cemetery, Lubec. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Jacob may make donations in his memory to the Lost Fisherman’s Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 194, Lubec, ME 04652. Arrangements are in care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Machias and Lubec.
