BREWER – Richard G. Wilson, 63, died unexpectedly June 24, 2011, at his home. He was born Sept. 23, 1947, in Brewer, son of William C. and Dorothy M. (King) Wilson.

Richard served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1971, and worked most of his life as a cook, most recently at Elizabeth Levinson Center, Bangor. He also enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.

He is survived by his two brothers, Merton Wilson of Virginia and Russell Wilson of Brewer; three sisters, Regina Bryant of Ohio, Carol Ammerman of Orono and Linda Robinson of Brewer; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Irving Wilson; and one sister, Connie Jo Kushmerek. He will be remembered by a special friend with whom he shared many laughs, Earlene Bryant.

A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer, with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson, presiding.
