BANGOR – Gary J. Creaser, 43, died June 26, 2011, at a local hospital. He was born May 3, 1968, in Glens Falls, N.Y., son of H. James and Judith Creaser.

Gary graduated from the University of South Florida with a Master of Science degree in coastal geology and a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Beloit College. He had been a geologist in the Bangor area since 1997, working for S.W. Cole Engineering, Inc., until 2009 and with Fessenden Geo-Environmental Services to the present time. He was a past chairman of e Bangor Region Leadership Institute and past senior warden of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Bangor.

He is survived by his parents of Florida; his wife, Emma; daughter, Alexandra, both of Bangor; his siblings, Bill and Kelly, Jan and Al, Jim and Sheila, and Jared and Katie; his nephew, Jim; and his grandmother, Arlene Wolf.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 1, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Bangor, with the Rev. Canon Mary Ann Taylor, pastoral associate, officiating, and the Rev. John Wingert. Child care will be provided. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments immediately after the service in the undercroft of the church.
