CUTLER – Bickford Roland Ramsdell, 63, also known as “Bicky,” passed away June 29, 2011, at his home after a long battle with prostate cancer. He was born Dec. 20, 1947, in Cutler, the son of Roland and Yvonne Ramsdell.
Bicky spent most of his life with his father in construction and later he and his brother, William Ramsdell, started their own business.
Bicky was predeceased by his father, Roland Ramsdell. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Dianne Ramsdell, who truly loved and cared for him; his children, Scott Ramsdell, Troy Ramsdell and wife, Sarah, and Stephanie Luce and husband, Chris; mother, Yvonne Ramsdell; brothers, William Ramsdell and wife, Teresa, Pete Ramsdell and wife, Brenda, Jerry Walker, and George Walker and wife, Pat; sisters, Jane Brown and husband, Scott, and Amelia Verburgt and husband, Stephen; grandchildren, Skyler Ramsdell, Keaton Luce, Trenton Luce, Finlay Ramsdell and Liam Ramsdell; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leroy Kelley and wife, Bessie; lifelong friend, Sherwood Geel and wife, Judy; special friends, Jay and Valerie Porter and Joe Mcbrine; too many other special family and friends to name.
Services will be held 1 p.m. July 9 at Machias Valley Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the memorial fund for Bickford Ramsdell at Bar Harbor Banking and Trust.
