BRADLEY – Barbara Joyce Pelletier, 78, died July 5, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at her home. She went to her heavenly reward after a long illness. Barbara was born March 21, 1933, in Weston, the daughter of Helen (Pratt) Fanjoy and Clarence Fanjoy.

Barbara graduated from Brewer High School and took several accounting courses at the University of Maine. She retired from James River Corp. in 1989. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and her annual trips to Florida. Her summers were spent at Beech Hill Pond.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Philip Pelletier; and loving children, Vernard King and Debbie, David King and wife, Cathy, Rebecca Flaherty and husband, Steven, Brian Scott King and wife, Carin, Rebecca Willigar, Stephen Pelletier, Carol Pelletier and Rick Casey, Beth Austin, Tommy Pelletier and Jamie. She is also leaves behind several grandchildren, Emily Pond and husband, Michael, Ashley Loring and husband, Jessie, Bradley King and Amanda, Melissa King, Fred King and Heather and David King Jr., Allison Chadda and husband, Sanjay, Shawna Owen and husband, Charlie, and Sarah Pelletier; great-grandchildren, T.J. Rogers, Gab-riel Reed, Klaire Loring and Eliana Owen. She is also survived by two sisters, Marietta Powers and husband, Roger, and Donna Lagasse and husband, Robert; and special friends, Virginia Richards, Georgia Pelletier, Ann Delaware, Royce and Nancy Morrison, Alfreda Savoy and Steve and Lynn Greenleaf. Barb was predeceased by three sisters in Canada, Jennie, Ruth and Lucille; and two sons, Tommy King and Shawn Pelletier. Special thanks to Mary Dougherty of New Hope Hospice for her loving care throughout Mom’s illness.

There will be a memorial visitation 7-9 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, at St. Ann’s Church, Bradley. A light luncheon will be after the service in the parish hall.
