DELMAR, N.Y. – Bernard Striar, 88, passed away Feb. 8, 2011, at Good Samaritan Lutheran Health Care Center, Del-mar, N.Y. Born Feb. 19, 1922, in Bangor, he was the son of the late Sam and Jennie Striar.
He was predeceased by his wife, Anna Striar; and by his brothers, Morris and William. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Striar of Brooklyn, N.Y.; son, Gary of Delmar, N.Y.; daughter-in-law, Catherine Durand of Delmar; his grandchildren, Adam and Samuel Striar; his sister, Rita Pepper of Selden, N.Y.; a brother, Robert Striar of Washington, D.C.; many nieces and nephews.
