HOWLAND – Sandra M. (Giles) Lindquist, 75, passed away July 3, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 3, 1936, in Howland, daughter of Oakley and Minnie (York) Giles.
She worked hard bringing up her five children, who loved her dearly. She enjoyed helping others, loved to cook, going to yard sales and playing cards. She loved holidays, especially Christmas.
She is survived by her daughters, LuAnn and her friend, Mike, of Bucksport, Cyndi and her husband, Peter, of Arizona, Robin of York Beach, and Alison of South Paris; son, Brent and his wife, Kelly, of Mattamiscontis; three special granddaughters, Sandi Marie of Dedham, Kristy and her fianc‚, Michael, of Glenburn, and Katie of Mattamiscontis; a very special great-grandson, Riley, whom she loved dearly; sisters, Betty, Lila and her husband, Victor, Clarice and her husband, Avon; many nieces and nephews all of who will miss her greatly; along with the many friends she made throughout the years, including one dear friend with whom she enjoyed watching Red Sox games,
Faye Betters. Sandra was predeceased by her parents; and sisters, Mona Neal and Mary Caron.
