NEWPORT – Kathleen Joyce Clark, 82, died July 12, 2011, at a Pittsfield health care facility.
She was born June 30, 1929, in Mars Hill, a daughter of Clinton and Viola (O’Donal) Lovley.
After graduating from high school, she moved to Newport at a young age. Kathleen married Hubert Clark in 1967. She worked as a baker at Gateway Restaurant and Log Cabin Diner, both in Newport, and Fairmount Restaurant, Bangor. She had also worked at several area shoe shops. She was a member of Barrows-Skidgel American Legion Auxiliary. She will be remembered as a loving mother and friend.
She is survived by six children, Timothy of Florida, Belinda Langley of Levant, Lawrence of Pittsfield, Kevin of Garland, Kirk of Newport and Darren Lovley of Standish; a sister, Merlene Gipson of Newport; 18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Graveside committal services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 15, in the family lot at Riverside Cemetery, Newport, with the Rev. George Darling officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
