LIVERMORE FALLS – Theresa L. Lovely, 74, passed away July 10, 2011, at Hospice House, Auburn, with her loving family by her side. She was born Aug. 15, 1936, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Stacey and Mary Higgins.
Theresa graduated from Fort Fairfield High School in 1954. She married Leo Lovely July 27, 1957. She worked as an Avon representative for more than 10 years, but she was primarily a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Theresa enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and providing a wonderful home for her family. Theresa and Leo were longtime residents of Livermore Falls, but in retirement they divided their time between Livermore Falls and Dade City, Fla.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Leo; daughter, Janice Butler and husband, Steve; son, Marc Lovely; grandchildren, Kristine and Brian; sisters, Colleen Stevens and Alice Glidden and her husband, Lowell; brother, Roger Higgins and his wife, Leona; many loving in-laws, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Anna Marie Kehoe and husband, Walter; and brother-in-law, Delbert Stevens.
Family is invited to a graveside service 11 a.m. Thursday, July 28, at the new Maine Veterans Cemetery, Springvale. Family and friends are invited to an informal memorial celebration in the afternoon Saturday, July 30, at her daughter’s home in Buxton.
