BAILEYVILLE – Norman H. Leighton, 62, passed away July 12, 2011, surrounded by his family at his residence. He was born July 25, 1948, in St. Stephen, Calif., son of Ernest and Gloria (Johnson) Leighton.
Norman was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.
Norman is survived by his parents; loving wife of 43 years, Sonja Leighton of Baileyville; his children, Angela Robinson and husband, Tyrone, of Bangor, Jody Andrews and husband, Duane, of Baileyville, and Jessica McCarty and husband, Kenneth, of St. Stephen, New Brunswick; his siblings, Wayne Leighton of Princeton and Terry Leighton of Bradford; nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
