MILLINOCKET – Jeannette E. York, 91, wife of the late Earle W. York, passed away Friday, July 15, 2011, after a brief stay at Colonial Health Care, Lincoln. She was born June 11, 1920, in Medway, daughter of Henry and Nina (Gilbert) LaPointe.
She is survived by two sons, Rick York and his wife, Pam, and Tony and his wife, Fran, all of Millinocket; six grandchildren, Nikki, Jeannette Lynn, Dawn Marie, Robert, Lanie and Lynda; eight great-grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Riley, Tynan, Amber, Grace, Alicia and Andrew; a special niece, Patty Carlisle; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeannette will also be missed by special friends, Mel Gould and George Kerivan. In addition to her husband, Jeannette was predeceased by a brother and a sister. The family extends a special thank you to Jill Boynton, Jeannette’s caregiver for the past seven months and also to her hospice caregivers at home and at Colonial Health Care, who kept Jeannette comfortable during her last days.
