MILTON, Fla., and LUBEC – Victoria J. Williams, 66, passed away July 7, 2011, at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, with her family by her side. She was born Feb. 4, 1945, in St. Stephens, New Brunswick, daughter of Earl and Rebecca (Pressley) Denbow.

She was a graduate of Lubec High School, class of 1964. Shortly after graduation she moved to Portland, where she worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield until 1972. In 1976 she went to work at Quick Print, Newport, R.I., where she started as a set typist, working her way into graphic design, and later helped to manage the business before its closing in 1997. She then returned to Lubec, where she went to work for Healthways as an aide for clients in the area. She enjoyed reading, gardening, quilting and sewing. She also had a great love for time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by and will be sadly missed by her daughter, Rebecca McGuinness and husband, Timothy, of Endicott, N.Y.; son, Richard L. and wife, Elizabeth, of Milton, Fla.; granddaughter, Colleen Hanna McGuinness and much loved Jennifer Greene of Tiverton, R.I.; stepfather, Albert Scoville; sister, Shirley and husband, William Campbell, of Westbrook; brother, Douglas Denbow and wife, Mona, of Lubec; sister, Deborah Walsh and husband, Ken Beonco, of Bourne, Mass.; a brother-in-law, Thomas Williams and wife, Judy, of Reno, Nev.; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Williams, in 2008.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at Greenfield Cemetery with a reception afterward at Albert’s camp on the Back Road. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Vicki’s name may be made to Whiting Community Food Pantry, care of Bill Sawtelle, 340 U.S. Route 1, Dennysville, ME 04628. Arrangements are in care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Machias and Lubec.
