BANGOR – Paul Clement, 56, died July 18, 2011, in Bangor. He was born May 10, 1955, in Bangor, son of Mary Flora (Smith) and Polycarp Clement, who predeceased him.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Anderson of Ontario; and a sister, Miranda Crown of Bangor.
Paul lived in Maine, but traveled to Arizona and Florida. He had many struggles in his life, but was able to find peace and meaning. His interests were art, music and writing, especially about the plight of homeless and street people.
He hoped that someday his works would provide increased understanding and compassion toward those who experience addiction and homelessness. Paul asked to acknowledge his “family” at Wabanaki Health and Wellness, Bangor, and to thank all who helped him during his illness, especially his “brother,” Walter; and volunteers, Marie, Janet and Eva. Paul was appreciative of all of the excellent care he received, most recently from St. Joseph Hospital, Kim Files of Penobscot Community Health Care, and Beacon Hospice.
A celebration of his life for friends and relations will be held noon Friday, July 22, at Wabanaki. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, Bangor and Brewer.
