KETTERING, Ohio – Carl Larson, 98, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011.
Carl was a kind and humorous man with many accomplishments to his credit. He held degrees in accounting, finance and law, became a genealogist, a translator of Swedish, and received awards from his longtime employer, Monsanto for outstanding service. Carl was a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church and a past pastor of Rock Moriah Lodge No. 740.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Larson; second wife, Eva Larson; sons, David Larson and Peter Larson; and sister, Esther Larson. Carl is survived by his daughter, Karen Meloy; son, Eric Larson and wife, Lori; grandchildren, Michael Meloy and wife, Cindy, Deanne French and husband, Mike, and Monica Larson; great-grandchildren, Melissa and Stephanie Meloy, and Julia, Michelle and Sean French; sister, Mildred Boehne; brother, Arthur Larson and wife, Arlene; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 22, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, Ohio, with Masonic services beginning 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at the funeral home. Burial will be at David’s Cemetery.
