CARIBOU and CHERRYFIELD – Robert Phillip Dube, 77, passed away July 20, 2011, at a Bangor health care facility after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born June 16, 1934, in Caribou, son of Charles and Marie (Nadeau) Dube Sr.

Robert was member of Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was employed at Birdseye Division of General Foods for many years. Robert enjoyed taxidermy, hunting and fishing, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Loretta (Dickinson) Dube of Cherryfield; son, Michael and his wife, Karen, of Whitefield; daughter, Roberta and her companion, Nick, of Alabama; son, Jeffery and his wife, Kim, of Milbridge; one sister, Grace (Dube) Gagnon of Caribou; his mother-in-law, Rosella Dickinson of Van Buren; and grandchildren, Brian Dube and his wife, Kristy, Lynsie, Nichole, Andrew, Jake and Josh Dube. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Raymond Dube and Charlie Dube Jr.; and a sister, Sylvia Autery.

Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of service noon Monday, July 25, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou.
