HOULTON and PAXTON, Mass. – Joseph C. Marshall Jr. passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011, in Worcester, Mass., with his family by his side. Joe was born and raised in Houlton, son of Joseph C. Marshall and Lillian (Sewell) Marshall.
In addition to his mom, Joe leaves behind his wife, Ann; daughter, Lucy and husband, Derrick Anderson, of Michigan; son, Joseph of Rhode Island; two brothers, Gerald and Michael of Houlton; two sisters, Norma Ellis of Monticello and Elaine Webb of Manchester; four stepsiblings, Gary Stairs, Gail Schools, Glen Stairs and Holly Henderson; and three grandchildren, Josh Weldon, Jocelyn and Joseph Marshall.
Joe was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and had a 25-year career with Industrial Dynamics of California. He was a member of American Legion and Disabled American Veterans, bowled in the Senior Bowling League in Paxton, Mass., and with his wife raised German sport horses.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family 1:30-3 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at Military Street Baptist Church, Houlton, with a service beginning 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
