DOVER-FOXCROFT – Charles R. Bradford, 94, husband of the late Virginia (Weston) Bradford, died July 28, 2011, at a local hospital. He was born May 18, 1917, in Enfield, son of Herbert W. and Alice (Kimball) Bradford.
Charlie began working at Stowell-McGregor in 1936, and was manager at the time of its closing in 1964. He retired from Moosehead Manufacturing in 1982. Charlie will be sadly missed by his family and his cronies at Bear’s Den.
He is survived by two daughters, Margaret Patzner and her husband, Phillip, of Reno, Nev., and Elizabeth Gould and her husband, Timothy, of Lowell, Ark.; a son, Robert Bradford and his wife, Wendy, of Guilford; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
