WILLIMANTIC – Carl Thornton Dauphinee, 93, died July 30, 2011, at the Maine Veterans Home, Bangor. He was born March 23, 1918, in Monson, son of W. Lawson Dauphinee and Myrtle (Knowles) Dauphinee.

In 1942 he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served until the end of World War II, attaining the rank of staff sergeant.

He was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Joyce Marie (Ronco), in 1972; his second wife, Helen R. (Bush), in 2005; a brother, Lawrence Dauphinee; and a sister, Violet (Packard). He is survived by one brother, William and wife, Ruth Dauphinee, of Willimantic. He lived for the last four years of his life with nephew and wife, Stephen and Deanna Dauphinee, also of Willimantic. He is also survived by his four children: daughter, Carol Paquette and husband, Paul, of Brunswick; son, Eric Dauphinee and wife, Joan, of Longwood, Fla.; son, Terry Dauphinee and wife, Lu’Ann, of Levant; and daughter, Jette Bourget of Leesburg, Fla. He leaves 11 grandchildren, Debbie Brown, Damon Howe, Laura Metz, Paul Dauphinee, Evan Dauphinee, Kathy Northrup, Kristy Rioux, Kevin Dauphinee, Jason Sears, Dawnstar Anthony and Angel Teffs. He was also blessed with 12 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren, six nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Lary Funeral Home, 62 Summer St., Dover-Foxcroft. Interment with full military honors will be at Bath National Cemetery, Bath, N.Y. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at
