LONG POND, Pa. – Peter Paul Belanger, 47, died unexpectedly Saturday, July 16, 2011, at his home. Born Aug. 22, 1963, in Santa Ana, Calif., he was the son of Denise and Joyce (Ouellette) Belanger of St. Agatha; and Roy Belanger and his stepmother, Carol Bernier, of Cross Lake.

He attended schools in Fort Kent and after graduation moved to the Long Pond, Pa., area.

In addition to his parents and stepmother, he is survived by two sons, Michael and Scott Belanger, both of Long Pond, Pa.; a daughter, Christine Belanger of Madawaska; a sister, Laurie Ann Gagnon and her husband, Ken, of St. Agatha; his paternal grandmother, Pauline Belanger of Frenchville; his longtime companion, Christine Mead of Long Pond, Pa.; two stepbrothers, Philip and Alan Theriault, both of Colorado; one stepsister, Laurie Theriault of Pennsylvania; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by two brothers, Patrick Belanger, in 1969, and Leroy Michael Belanger, in 1988; and his stepmother, Anita Belanger, in 2007.

Friends may call 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Graveside services will be afterward at Holy Family Cemetery, Daigle. At the family’s request, donations may be sent to the surviving heirs in care of Laurie Gagnon, 14 Albert Crossroads, St. Agatha, ME 04772.
