ASHLAND – Muriel H. Gordon, 84, died Aug. 1, 2011, at an Eagle Lake health care facility. She was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Rumford, the daughter of Reginald and Marjorie (Abbott) Hunt.
Muriel was a graduate of Cony High School, Augusta, and attended Gates Business School, Augusta. She was a member of Tillikum Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Ashland. Muriel was employed as a secretary in the Ashland school system for many years.
She is survived by three children, Kathi Beaulieu and her husband, Robert, of Ashland, Leigh Gordon of Ashland and Christy Daigle and her husband, Sim, of Sabattus; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one niece and several nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice M. Gordon Jr., in 1978.
In keeping with her wishes, a committal service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Masardis Municipal Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Morton Jr. officiating.
