BANGOR – Jeanne I. Rudnicki, 73, wife of Marion A. “Rud” Rudnicki, died Aug. 9, 2011, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 23, 1937, in Winterport, the daughter of Joseph and Albertine (Rancourt) Doyon.
Jeanne was a graduate of Winterport High School and volunteered many hours at Ronald McDonald House and the Attic Thrift Shop benefiting All Saints Catholic School.
She was a troop greeter since 1991 and enjoyed snowmobiling. Jeanne was also a communicant of St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor.
In addition to her husband of Bangor, Jeanne is survived by three children, David Rudnicki and his wife, Bonnie (Hichborn), of Bangor, Dennis Rudnicki of Winterport and Lisa Pedersen and her husband, Bob, of Corinth; three grandchildren, Emily and Kyle Pedersen of Corinth and Jeffery Hichborn of Hudson; one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn of Hudson; two sisters, Rita Nelson and her husband, Donald, of Winterport and Doris Ingalls and her husband, Alvin, of Frankfort; two brothers, Raoul Doyon and his wife, Mary, of Bangor and Arthur Doyon and his wife, Gayle, of Saco; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Annette; one sister, Theresa Arsenault; and one brother, Sylvia Doyon.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Maggie Rudnicki Fund, care of Peoples United Bank, P.O.
