SMYRNA – Charlotte Short, 90, died Aug. 10, 2011, in Houlton. She was born July 10, 1921, in Smyrna Mills, daughter of Fred and Amber (Grant) Higgins.
She was a member of Good Sam Club.
She is survived by her husband, Barry Short of Smyrna; four children, Kerry Leone and her husband, Robert, of Gray, Kevin Short of Smyrna, Kelli White and her husband, James, of Wareham, Mass., and Jason Short and his wife, Wendy, of Chesapeake, Va.; nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Dorothy Smith of Kentucky and Dora Akeley of Bath; and a brother, Fred Higgins of Carson City, Nev. She was predeceased by her sisters, Alice, Martha and Gertrude.
