VEAZIE – Jacqueline C. Osgood, 83, wife of the late Charles R. Osgood, passed away peacefully Aug. 10, 2011, at her home that she shared with her son and daughter-in-law. She was born Dec. 23, 1927, in Winn, the daughter of Fred and Lillian (Pelkey) Cota.

Jackie lived many years in Winthrop and most recently in Bangor. She loved her camp on St. George Lake, listening to the loons, watching birds and other wildlife, growing flowers in her garden, and going out to lunch and playing cards with friends and family.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Linda. She is survived by her son, Chuck and his wife, Dianne, of Veazie; two granddaughters, Jessica Osgood and her husband, Jason Achorn, of Bar Harbor and Jennifer and her husband, Jeffrey Robinson, of Bangor; and two great-grandchildren, Calvin Osgood and Alexis Robinson.

A service of remembrance will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Rex Garrett, director of chaplaincy services at Eastern Maine Medical Center, officiating. Interment will be at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.
