BATH – Anne S. Pelkey, 87, of the Plant Home, Bath, and formerly of Millinocket, went home Aug. 11, 2011. Anne was born Jan. 15, 1924, in Woodstock, New Brunswick.

After meeting and marrying Archie Pelkey they moved to Millinocket in 1944, where they raised their family. Anne was a member of Millinocket Baptist Church.

Anne is survived by her children, Bonnie “Yvonne” Jarrard of Manchester, N.H., David L. Pelkey of Millinocket, Dotti Pelletier and husband, Darrell, of Brunswick and Dennis A. Pelkey of Brewer; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great-granddaughters; sister, Jenny Crandall of Raynham, Mass.; brothers, Peter Cullinen and wife, Alice, and Roy Cullinen, all of Oakfield; and very special aunt, Lucille Appleby of Portland. She was predeceased by her husband, Archie, in 2008; son, Kenneth, in 1970; daughter, Cheryl, in 1956; brother, Christie, in 1998; and sister, Mary Clements, in 2007. Anne was very proud that she was a grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother to twins. A very special thank you to the staff at the Plant Home and Chans Hospice of the MidCoast area for the care given to our mother. They all made it a very comfortable and loving journey to her heavenly home.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday, Aug. 22, at Millinocket Baptist Church, Penobscot Street, Millinocket, with a funeral service 11 a.m. In Anne’s memory donations may be made to the Plant Home, 1 Washington St., Bath, ME 04530 or Millinocket Baptist Church, Penobscot Street, Millinocket, ME 04462. Arrangements are under the care of Kincer Funeral Home, 130 Pleasant St., Richmond.
