FORT KENT – Rena (Theriault) Campagna, 56, died peacefully Aug. 12, 2011, in Fort Kent. She was born Jan. 21, 1955, in Fort Kent, daughter of Fernando Sr. and Jeanette (Michaud) Theriault.
Rena enjoyed spending time with her family and friends in the valley and Connecticut. She lived in Fort Kent until spring 2000, when she moved to Bristol, Conn. While there she worked for nearly 10 years for Dental Associates, where she made many special lifelong friends. She became a grandmother in 2008 and had four grandchildren by the time she passed. She returned to Fort Kent and spent her remaining days surrounded by her children, grandchildren, friends and family. Rena was known for contagious laughter, whoopie pies and straight talk. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her four children, Charles Campagna and his fiancee, Katie, of Old Town, Dean Campagna and his wife, Carrie, of Beverly, Mass., Cam Campagna and his partner, Nicole, of Limerick and Tim Hartman and his wife, Heather, of Georgia; four grandchildren, Cayden and Cole Campagna, Drew Campagna and Kylie Hartman; two brothers, Fernando Jr. and his wife, Cecile Theriault, of Terryville, Conn., and Roland and his wife, Bernice, of Southington, Conn.; five sisters, Rolande Roy of Southington, Conn., Anita Dionne of Newington, Conn., Pauline Nadeau and her husband, Bertrand, of Clair, New Brunswick, Theresa Michaud and her companion, Rejean Levesque, of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, and Christine Chasse and her husband, Dan, of Fort Kent; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rena was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Jane Theriault and Janice Theriault.
Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Assembly of God Church, Fort Kent. Graveside services will be held at St. Louis Cemetery, Fort Kent. In her memory those who wish may donate to the Edgar J. “Guy” Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Envelopes will be available at the church. Services are in the care of Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
