GLENBURN – Ruth N. Thompson, 80, joined her lifelong and beloved husband, Gerald M. Thompson, in heaven Aug. 12, 2011. She was born May 18, 1931, in Stillwater, daughter of Fred and Gladys (Hall) Noyes.

Ruth enjoyed traveling, gardening, crossword puzzles and spending time with friends and family. She was especially proud of her family, and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her son and wife, Craig Thompson and Marilyn of Bradley; her daughter and husband, Kathryn and Jack Merrithew of Bangor; three sisters, Margaret Noyes of Madison, Phyllis Bulduc of Old Town and Deborah Gillespie of Scarborough; four grandchildren, Kristi and her husband, Keith Potter, Douglas Thompson, Carrie Reed and Michele and her husband, Jay Dupuis; and four great-grandchildren, Lauren and Leah Potter, and Jenna Reed and Erika Dupuis.

Private graveside services will be held for the family at Lakeview Cemetery, Glenburn.
