HODGDON – Charles Spellman, 67, died Aug. 17, 2011, at his home. He was born July 24, 1944, in Portland, son of Orrin and Lena (Slagger) Spellman.
Charles was a hard worker all his life.
He is survived by his companion, Leila Cole of Hodgdon; two children, Tracy Bouchard of Houlton and Charles G. Spellman of Hodgdon, six grandchildren; one brother, Jim Spellman of Massachusetts; one sister, Glenna “Dee” Jewell of Houlton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, John.
Graveside funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Cemetery, County Road, Houlton, with Pastor Steve Straubel officiating. For an online memory book, please visit
