AUGUSTA, Maine — A young billiards champ who’ll be representing the U.S. at a world nine-ball championship in Poland has notched a victory against Maine’s governor.
Fourteen-year-old Taylor Reynolds offered to set the table Friday when she met with Gov. Paul LePage at the Blaine House, which has a billiards room.
The governor said “she’s going to whip me,” and indeed she narrowly beat him.
The honors student from Winslow recently won the Billiard Education Foundation’s national championship in Illinois, putting her in line to represent the U.S. at the World Junior Nine-Ball Championships in Poland.
