LUBEC – On Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, Dot passed away peacefully into the hands of God at Oceanview Nursing Home, Lubec. Doris was born Dec. 21, 1922, in Dorchester, Mass., daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Call) Woodworth.

In addition to her parents, Dot was predeceased by husbands, Sherman Denbow and Douglas Doble; a son, Paul Denbow, who was the love of her life; and two brothers, Frank and Charles Woodworth. Surviving are her sister, Marjorie Holmes; a brother, Raymond Woodworth; half sisters, Edna Bailey and Lois Byram; stepdaughter, Jan Brown; special niece, Pauline Doble-Trepanier; grandchildren, Leonard Brown, Maureen Hooper and Aaron Brown; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Doris dedicated her life to family and friends, and truly blessed us all with the lessons of hard work, integrity, fairness and loyalty to all. For all of us she touched and influenced, we will be eternally grateful.

A celebration of Doris’ life will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Lubec Christian Temple Church with a reception immediately after the service. Burial will be at Green Lawn Cemetery, Lubec.
