PRESQUE ISLE – Winston “Winky” Carl Condon, 79, passed away Aug. 23, 2011. He was born Jan. 22, 1932, to Martha Donovan and Herbert Condon.

Winston worked for Indian Head Plywood until he became disabled. Winston was a Boy Scout Troop leader for Troop No. 188. He enjoyed going to garage sales and spending time in his garden. Winston married the love of his life, Eva Turner Condon, April 26, 1957.

He is survived by his wife, Eva of Presque Isle; a son, Michael Condon of Southwest Harbor; a daughter, Jeannie Gilson and her husband, Donnie, of Presque Isle; grandchildren, Amy Condon of Presque Isle, Brian Condon and Brianne Condon, both of Southwest Harbor, Kyle Gilson and Sara Gilson of Presque Isle; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Turner and Jacob Peters. Also surviving him are brothers, Dale Condon and his wife, Joan, of Windsor Locks, Conn., and Gary Condon and his wife, Lorraine, of Fort Fairfield; and sisters, Anna Pike and her husband, Arthur, of Presque Isle, and Norma MacDonald and her husband, Vance, of Southington, Conn. Winston also enjoyed having his granddaughter, Sara, coming to cook for him.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Dave Goupille officiating. Relatives and friends may call 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery.
