SINCLAIR – Wilfred J. Martin, 73, died peacefully Aug. 23, 2011, at a Bangor health care facility. He was born Oct. 30, 1937, in Sinclair, son of Patrick and Alma (Daigle) Martin.
He attended the Sinclair school and Notre Dame De La Sagesse Boarding School, St. Agatha.
He is survived by one son, Claude and his wife, Pamela, of South Carolina; one daughter, Christine and her husband, Jeff; three brothers, Paul and his wife, Sue, of Moody, Patrick and wife, Sheila, of Hudson, Fla., and Maynard and wife, Claudette, of St. Agatha; three sisters, Rita and her husband, Robert Babin, of St. Agatha, Jacqueline of Brandon, Fla., and Corinne and her husband, James Boutot, of St. David; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Valier and Joel; and four sisters, Yvette, Olivette, Marie and Juliette.
Friends and relatives may call 8-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, Sinclair, with the Rev. Richard Ouellette officiating. Burial will be at St. Agatha Lower Cemetery.
