AUGUSTA – David Levi Poulin, 52, husband of Claire Poulin, passed away Sept. 3, 2011, in Howland. He was born May 2, 1959, in Lincoln, the son of Lucien and Gilda (St. Thomas) Poulin.
David grew up in Howland and graduated from Penobscot Valley High School in 1977. He remained in Howland during his early adulthood years where he helped raise two wonderful sons. Spending time at Sebois Lake with family and friends were some of the happiest times of David’s life. A true people person, he especially enjoyed shooting pool, fishing and throwing shoes with friends. Guys “night out” was something he looked forward to. David will be remembered by his ability to make you laugh and his kind-heartedness. He will be sadly missed. He was a member of Le Club Calumet and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both in Augusta.
In addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by a son, Erik Poulin and his wife, Brooke, and grandson, Kestin, of Lewiston; siblings, Bernadette Andrus and Cliff of Southington, Conn., Reginald Poulin and Linda Beane of Augusta, Janelle Gath and Sam of Burnham, Marita Nutter and Mike of West Enfield, Carmela Thompson and Lyn of South China and Juliet Guimond and Terry of Lincoln; stepdaughter, Tammy Niemi and husband, Loren, and stepgranddaughter, Ashlynn; stepson, Jeff Pomerleau and wife, Betty-Jo, and stepgranddaughter, Jessica; the mother of his children, Ginny Lutterell-Soucy; several nieces and nephews.
