DEXTER – Lorraine C. Weeks, 86, died Sept. 5, 2011, at a Dexter health care facility. She was born Aug. 4, 1925, in Dexter, a daughter of Thomas and Emily (Nash) Johnson.
She was employed for more than 30 years at Eastland Woolen Mill, Corinna. Lorraine was a communicant of St. Anne’s Church, Our Lady of the Snows parish, and was also a member of St. Anne’s Guild.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde; her daughter, Angela Gordon; and two sisters, Roberta Roy and Isabelle Zarmarchi. Lorraine is survived by four grandchildren, Thomas Towle and his wife, Donna, of Portsmouth, N.H., Ann Marie and husband, Michael Jones, of Hudson, Michael Towle of Pittsfield, and Jonathan Towle of Skowhegan; four great-grandchildren, Samantha, Mercedes, Michael, and Shyan; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside committal services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with the Rev. Kent Ouellette officiating. The family invites friends and relatives to a time of fellowship and refreshment at Shirley B. Carter Post American Legion on Cedar Street, Dexter. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
