GLENBURN – Melody Anne Merritt, 39, wife of Brent E. Merritt, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Sept. 7, 2011, at her home. She was born Aug. 2, 1972, in Bangor, daughter of Terry N. and Elizabeth (Hunt) Thompson.
Melody loved spending time with her family and loved to be outdoors gardening.
She is survived by and will be missed by her adoring husband of Glenburn, her mother of Hermon; five children, Corey and Justin Merritt, both of Glenburn, Joshua Merritt and his wife, Amber, of Bangor, Jeremy and Jessica Merritt, both of Bangor; her granddaughters, Jade and Aurora, both of Bangor; grandmother, Gertrude Hunt; a brother, Neal Thompson, both of Bangor; one sister, Cindy Taylor and her husband, Larry, of Hermon; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends may visit 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor.
