CALAIS – Paul V. Campbell, 73, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, surrounded by his family at Calais Regional Hospital.
Paul was born May 8, 1938, in Calais, son of the late Paul and Rossa (McDonald) Campbell.
He attended the University of Miami, where he earned a degree in business management and then returned to Maine shortly after. Paul worked for many years as manager of the Duty Free Shop, Calais, until his retirement, which was followed by 20 years of employment by Lane Construction from which he retired for the second time. Paul was a devoted brother and uncle. He will be missed by those who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his aunt, Lois Campbell; his uncle, William Campbell; and nephew, William Cochran. Survivors include his sister, Carol Cochran of Calais; nephew, Robert Cochran and his wife, Sonia; and many cousins.
