FORT FAIRFIELD – Reginald T. “Jack” Worster, 78, husband of Evelyn R. (Williams) Worster, passed away Thursday evening, Sept. 8, 2011, at his residence, after an extended illness. He was born July 14, 1933, in Allagash, the son of Herbert E. Sr. and Sarah E. (Hafford) Worster.
Jack attended Allagash schools and had been employed by the state of Maine Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator for 31 years. He was married to Evelyn R. Williams Nov. 26, 1996, and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, reading, fishing, hunting and was a member of the National Rifle Association.
In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by one granddaughter, Annie M. Worster, in 2004; one brother, Herbert E. Worster Jr.; and two sisters, Nancy Hitchcock and Susan Schlichte. He is survived by his wife of nearly 15 years, Mrs. Evelyn R. Worster of Fort Fairfield; two sons, Wayne T. Worster of Clearview, New Brunswick, and Jack A. Worster and his companion, Michelle Greene, of Caribou; two daughters, Pennie L. Sevene and her husband, Skip, of Claremont, N.H., and Pamie L. Worster of Caribou; four brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Jean Worster, Rodney and Theresa Worster, all of New York state, Freeman and Theresa Worster, and Joseph Worster, all of Massachusetts; three sisters and brother-in-law, Harriet Desmond, Betty Gahagan, both of Sanford, and Bonnie and Wallace Cyr of Wells; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, with the Rev. David Gupille officiating. Interment will be private. A time of continued fellowship will be held immediately after the funeral service at Veterans of Foreign Wars Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield.
