STILLWATER – Hazel L. “Lois” Goslin, 89, passed away Sept. 9, 2011, at a health care facility in Bangor. She was born April 16, 1922, in Garland, the daughter of Augustus and Ida (Shirland) Gray.

Growing up, Lois attended Alton and Old Town schools.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, especially mittens, and baking doughnuts, granny smith pies and biscuits, but she took the most pride in being a homemaker and raising her four children.

Lois is survived by her three sons, Tom Jr. and his wife, Patti-Lee, of Veazie, Ron and his wife, Cathy, of Veazie and Steve of Stillwater; daughter, Doreen Whitney and her husband, Chet, of Old Town; four grandchildren, Heather Martin and her husband, Rick, Keenan Goslin, Steve Goslin Jr. and his wife, Maria, and Jennifer Dudley and her husband, Bob; four great-grandchildren, Madeline Goslin, and Robert III, Ryan and Savannah Dudley; sister, Gertrude Doweiko of Rhode Island; and several nephews. In addition to her parents, Lois was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Goslin Sr.

A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Anna C. Beach officiating. Interment will be at Lawndale Cemetery. All are invited for continued fellowship and a light luncheon in the fellowship hall at Stillwater Federated Church, Bennoch Road.
