VAN BUREN – Donald A. Beaulieu, 72, died Sept. 11, 2011, at a Caribou hospital after a long battle with several medical conditions. He was born June 24, 1939, in Van Buren, son of Exias and Emily (Beaulieu) Beaulieu.

He was employed as a millwright for Blier Cedar Co. for many years.

Don is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marie Mae (St. Pierre) Beaulieu of Van Buren; two daughters, Donna Smith and her husband, Michael, of Van Buren, and Denise Beaulieu and her companion, Jim Wiley, of Scarborough; three sons, Donald Beaulieu Jr. of Marianna, Fla., David Beaulieu, and Dalen Beaulieu and his wife, Kathy, all of Bristol, Conn.; one brother, Guy Beaulieu of Mission Hills, Calif.; four sisters, Joan Beaulieu of Augusta, Marie Mae Brantley of South Cloud, Fla., Cecile Rooks of Middlefield, Conn., and Yvette Rossignol of Van Buren; seven grandchildren, Keith, Lance, Myka, Korie, Jessica, Monic and Tiffany; and two special great-grandchildren, Kayla and Jacob. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Chanel Beaulieu; and by three sisters, Jeanette Bisonnette, Germaine Youndblood and Kathleen Sirois.

Relatives and friends may call 8-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will be at Grande Riviere Cemetery, Van Buren.
