CARIBOU and NEW SWEDEN – Ellen Ann Theriault, 61, died Sept. 11, 2011, surrounded by her loving family in New Sweden. She was born June 1, 1950, in New Sweden, daughter of the late Franklin and Edith Irene (Philbrick) Anderson.

She attended New Sweden and Caribou schools, and was a member of Presque Isle Wesleyan Church. On July 12, 1991, she married Morris Theriault and she was employed by as a counselor with the Aroostook Area Agency on Aging for many years.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Morris of Caribou are two daughters and a son-in-law, Laurie Powell of Caribou, and Theresa and David Hughes of Wisconsin; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Joan Anderson of Presque Isle; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Lester Moore of Brockton, Mass., and Linda and Charles Newsome of New Sweden; nine grandchildren, including a special grandson, Nelson; a sister-in-law, Judy Anderson of New Sweden; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Theriault was predeceased by a son, Joseph St. Peter; and two brothers, Thomas Lennon and John Anderson.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at Presque Isle Wesleyan Church with the Rev. R.L. Fancy officiating. After the services all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments in the church dining area.
