BANGOR and HERMON – Oriel M. Badger, 41, died Sept. 10, 2011, at his home in Bangor after a very long illness. He was born May 28, 1970, in Milo, the son of Brenda (Witherly) Badger.

Oriel graduated from Hermon High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing softball.

He is survived by his fiancee, Kim Lippincott of Bangor; his sister, Angelia Doane and her son, Bryce, both of Bangor; his grandmother, Elinor Witherly of Hermon; his son, Zachary Parker of Frankfort; his daughters, Crystal Lippincott and Paul, and Kristin King and her husband, Anthony, all of Bangor; two grandchildren, Karen and AJ, whom he loved dearly; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be missed by

his very good friend, Mike Staples. Oriel was predeceased by his mother, Brenda Badger; his grandfather, Leroy Witherly; his hunting buddy, Uncle George Witherly.

A service honoring Oriel’s life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where family and friends may visit 9:30 a.m. until the service begins.

The Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of Hermon Baptist Church, will preside and burial will be at Snows Corner Cemetery, Hermon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cardiac Care, care of Healthcare Charities, P.O. Box 931, Bangor, ME 04402-0931.
