CLIFTON – Ruth H. (Maynard) Rennebu, 63, died unexpectedly Sept. 1, 2011, in Eddington, as the result of an automobile accident. She was born Oct. 10, 1947, in Bangor, daughter of Amos and Helena (Webber) Maynard.
Ruth worked in the hotel industry, most recently working for Hollywood Slots, where she was a hard worker and had just been promoted to housekeeping supervisor. She loved her family and friends, and her grandchildren meant the world to her. She was very excited about the new addition to the family, her great-grandson, with whom she was looking forward seeing and spending more time. She loved all animals, including her birds, horses and especially her three dogs, Addie, Cre and Chance. Ruth never had much, but she was the most generous person you would ever meet willing to give you the shirt off her back or her last penny. To all her children’s and grandchildren’s friends, Ruth was known to all as “Gram.”
Surviving are her husband, William Johnston of Clifton; her daughters, Melissa Wood and her companion, Aaron Tourtillotte, of Howland, Melinda Salisbury and her companion, Stacy Bedard, of Otis, and Toni Soucy and her husband, John Soucy, of Clifton; her sons, Milton Rennebu of Clifton and Paul Rennebu of Bangor; grandchildren, Edward Salisbury, John Soucy, Brandon Salisbury, Josh Wood, Tyler Wood, Jordan Soucy, Kyli Sampson, Logan and Mason Rennebu; her great-grandchild, Camden Salisbury; brothers and sisters, John Maynard of Bangor, Henry Maynard and his wife, Cindy, of Holden, and Amy Cooper of Bangor; stepchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her parents; siblings, George Maynard and Joanne Bubier; and her son’s fiancee, Judi Sampson.
