CHINA, Maine – Nathan E. Hall, 76, formerly of Limington, passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 28, 1935, in East Dover, son of Leon and Verlie (Doore) Hall.

He graduated from Foxcroft Academy, Farmington State Teachers College with a bachelor’s degree, and University of Southern Maine with a master’s degree. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a beloved science teacher of 35 years at Bonny Eagle Jr. High, and an active member in Kiwanis and Ham Radio clubs.

Nate is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Elaine (Gould) Hall; a son, the Rev. Ira Hall and his wife, Sarah, with children, Esther, Nathan and Micah; a daughter, Natalee Stotz and her husband, John; a sister, Gwyneth Smith and her husband, Donald Emery; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service and visiting time, with refreshments will be held for family and friends 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Hope Baptist Church, Route 202, Manchester.
