MILFORD, Conn. – Carl “Buzzy” Eugene Buzzell, 75, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at Milford Health Care. He was born May 20, 1936, in Atkinson.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Before retiring he was employed as a machinist for Milford Rivet.
Mr. Buzzell is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ina Steele Buzzell; devoted children, Mary Buzzell, Barry and Karen Buzzell and Danny and Eileen Buzzell, all of Connecticut; brothers, Lloyd and Kenneth; sisters, Charlene Carey, Beaula McFarland and Shirley Brodeur, all of Maine; and grandchildren, Dean, Danielle, Dylan and Nathan Buzzell.
Calling hours are 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford, Conn., where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. Interment will be afterward at Kings Highway Cemetery. To leave condolences or for directions, please visit our website at
